India has the largest youth population in the world. This youth workforce can bring in sustainable growth and development if they are equipped with appropriate ability and skill. Bhartiya Skill Development
University (BSDU) was founded with the objective of imparting skill education to make the youth able and empowered. In its brief span of existence, the University has made a mark for itself being the
first ever pure Skills University in the country.
The University has adopted a unique system for delivery of education, viz., Swiss Dual System of Skills Training supported by state of the art infrastructure, knowledgeable educators and trainers and a potent
industry-connect. We strongly believe that this process will be able to produce skilled manpower with high level of ability, confidence and employability quotient to meet the challenges of the Industry.
At BSDU, we adopt student-centric approaches for academic and allied matters. Experts from Academia, Industry and Sector Skill Councils join us in framing the curricula which are updated regularly and respond
promptly to the dynamics and changes in the appropriate system and technology.

Brief Profile
Dr. Choudhury obtained his graduation in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Silchar and M.Tech and Ph.D. from IIT Kharagpur and IIT Delhi respectively. He has more than 35 years of experience in the field of academics,
which started with his appointment at NIT Silchar.
He also held several positions of academic leadership including the positions of Dean, Academics at Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (A constituent college of Sikkim Manipal University), Principal at Asansol
Engineering College, West Bengal, Dean and Pro-Vice Chancellor at Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur.
